Bolsas de pós-doutoramento da FCT

FCT has opened the 2008 call for applications for postdoc individual grants (first deadline 16 June, second deadline 15 September).

CAUP will support applications that are broadly relevant for the following research topics:
- Origin and Evolution of Stars and Planets (Star Formation and Early Evolution, Planetary Systems, Stellar Evolution)
- Galaxies and Evolution of the Universe (Physical Properties of Galaxies, Observational Cosmology)
- Scientific and Technical Development of Astronomical Instrumentation.

Applications from researchers able to complement the expertise of the existing scientific teams and with capacity to offer added value for the participation in major international projects are preferred. In particular postdoc research programs that potentiate the Portuguese participation in ESO and ESA will be considered favorably.

The calendar, for the June deadline, is the following:
- 3 June: submission of a CV, together with a brief statement of research expertise and interests
- 5 June: pre-selected candidates will be contacted in order to proceed with the detailed preparation of the application
- up to 16 June: the full application is reviewed by CAUP and submitted to FCT

- 1 September: submission of a CV, together with a brief statement of research expertise and interests
- 5 September: pre-selected candidates will be contacted in order to proceed with the detailed preparation of the application
- up to 15 September: the full application is reviewed by CAUP and submitted to FCT
