The Center for Astrophysics of the University of Porto (CAUP) accepts applications for a research grant (Bolsa de Investigação) in the field of Guided optics for optical interferometry, with financial support provided by FP6 funded project OPTICON-JRA4. The grant duration is of six months (non-renewable).

The project to be funded is the design and astrophysical testing of 4x and 8x optical recombiners, using rapid prototyping sol-gel integrated optics technologies.
