The social programme will include:

• Welcome reception on Monday evening (included in the registration fee)

• Porto sight-seeing, including a visit to the old town, considered World Heritage by UNESCO, and some of its most prominent buildings. The visit will take place on Tuesday straight after the end of the scientific programme.

• Full day excursion on Wednesday to the wonderful region of Douro Valley, where the grapes used for producing Port wine grow, and which has recently been considered as World Heritage by UNESCO.
