The importance of pre-Main Sequence (PMS) Scuti studies is
discussed and recent developments from the observational point of view
are reviewed. On the basis of the measured periodicities theoretical
constraints on the position in the HR diagram and the evolutionary state
are provided by computing suitable linear nonadiabtic models of PMS
stars. Open problems concerning the possible occurrence of nonradial modes
as well as the correct frequency evaluation are finally discussed.
