The Doradus stars constitute a relatively new class of
pulsating main-sequence stars. They exhibit gravity-mode oscillations with
periods of the order of a day. As the number of well-established members is
still scarce, and as details of the origin of the pulsations are not yet
understood, much observational effort is currently undertaken to constrain their
pulsational character and their position in the HR diagramme (see also poster
by Mathias et al., this conference).
Recently, Eyer & Aerts (2000) have undertaken a search for new
Doradus stars in the Geneva photometric database, resulting in three
new members of the class. In this poster, we perform mode identification based
on multicolour Geneva photometry of all the modes detected in the data of two of
these stars, namely HD 12901 and HD 48501. A frequency search leads to
three frequencies in each of the stars.
The identification of the oscillation modes is based upon the method
presented by Dupret et al. (this conference) and takes into account
non-adiabatic effects in the outer atmosphere. It is the first time that such
detailed mode identification effort is possible in Doradus stars, as
high-quality multicolour data with a sufficient time base are scarce for these
objects.
