To celebrate the Children's Day, the Centro de Astrofísica da Universidade do Porto and Planetário do Porto provide a special programme of activities for the youngsters, in the 1st weekend of June.

• The participants are invited to build a simple sundial, with all the necessary materials being provided by us.
• Spread through the planetarium's atrium, there are several circles which represent the different planets of the Solar System. All children will have the opportunity to paint it's favourite planet, and experiment the scale and relative dimensions of the Solar System.
• The visitors can also visit the exhibition O Planetário na Escola, to enjoy and admire the works (and read the comments!) by children who visited CAUP's own portable planetarium during the last few months.

In all activities, the visitors are assisted by monitors from CAUP, all of them with training in Astronomy.
