CAUP has a tradition of welcoming short and long term visitors for collaborative research and teaching (both undergraduate and postgraduate).
CAUP offers adequate infrastructures (space office, library, computer facilities, communications and access to astronomical data bases and data banks etc.) CAUP also helps with all practical arrangements (accommodation, local information, etc.).

There are several possible alternatives for the support to visitors, namely:

• European programmes;
• national programme POCI2010 - grants for postdoctoral fellows;
• bilateral agreements - short visits, from weeks to 1 or 2 months. There are many such working agreements, namely with Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Mexico, Norway, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom, etc.
