Abstract
In this talk I will summarize the work I've done in the context of grant CAUP-03/2011-BII. One of the most precise cosmological measurements is the intensity spectrum of the CosmicMicrowave Background. If the expansion of the Universe is adiabatic and the CMB spectrum wasoriginally a black-body, its shape will be subsequently preserved with its temperature decreasingaccording to the law T(z)=T0(1+z). This temperature-redshift relation is one of the strongest predictionsof the standard model of cosmology, but it is violated in many non-standard models. Studying its redshiftdependence is therefore an efficient way to test the standard cosmological model and search for possiblenew physics.I will highlight some models that lead to violations of the standard T(z) laws and then discuss the bestobservational strategies to constrain them. This analysis will focus on improvements that will possiblewith the next generation of spectrographs such as ESPRESSO and CODEX.
