Time dependent Convection and Theoretical δ scuti and γ doradus Instability Strips

Abstract. Using time dependent convection, we have been able to determine the delta Scuti and gamma Doradus Instability Strip for radial and non radial modes. We present a theory of the convection-oscillation interaction. In our non radial- non adiabatic pulsation code, the variation of the convective flux (radial and transversal components) is taken into account, following the theory of M. Gabriel, in the mixing length approach. Applying it first to the δ Scuti stars allows the determination of the photometric amplitude ratios and phase differences with more precision which is for great help for mode identification. Secondly, we explore the influence of the convective flux variation on the modes stability near the red-edge of the delta Scuti instability strip and the gama Doradus stars excitation mechanisms. Also, we present a prospective study on the influence of the overshooting and metallicity on the location of these instability strips in the HR diagram
